Le problème de la justice dans le Trois discours sur la condition des grands de Pascal

Résumé

In my study, I analyse Pascal’s short writing from the perspective of justice. I examine how the interpretation of justice in the Three Discourses relates to the conception of justice that Pascal develops in the Pensées. While I show that the two interpretations of justice are in harmony, I argue that Pascal’s conception of justice is perspectival, i.e., according to Pascal, justice can be defined from several different perspectives. A just life depends on our ability to master this perspectivist approach and to act justly according to principles of justice formulated from different perspectives.
