Résumé

The review aims to comprehensively present the train of thought of Lóránt Kicsák's book titled Philosophical Technologies of Salvation. The volume sheds light on the significance of the tradition of philosophical self-formation and the revival of this tradition, which envisages the reconstruction of the epistemological and theoretical conceptions of philosophy and the practice of philosophy. The new self-interpretation of philosophy as practice raises the possibility of cultivating philosophy beyond the academic framework and poses conceptual challenges to philosophical theorizing. The volume offers an interpretive framework for these challenges and, at the same time, attempts to create a new philosophical practice. The critical element of this enterprise is the interpretation of thinking as an action, interpreting philosophy as a performative truth game.
